The Morningstar ProStar MPPT PS-MPPT-40 is a high-efficiency 40-Amp maximum power point tracking (MPPT) solar charge controller designed for off-grid battery systems up to 1,100 Watts. Powered by Morningstar’s TrakStar Technology™, it continuously optimizes energy harvest across changing solar conditions while delivering 4-stage charging for Lead-Acid, Lithium-Ion, and NiCd battery chemistries. Engineered for harsh environments, this standard (non-metered) model features a conformal-coated circuit board, Class 1, Division 2 hazardous location rating, and integrated 30A load and PV-based lighting control.
